As with anything else, there are multiple insurance companies that can be used by expatriates in Taiwan. Below I have listed a few of the most common ones to make it easy for you to conduct your own research.
It is important to purchase health insurance when leaving in other countries because as an expatriate, and not a citizen of Taiwan for example, you will not have health coverage like you would in your own country. Without insurance, medical care for sickness, accident, and/or surgery can get extremely expensive. For these reasons, it is important to prepare ahead of time and be protected. 1. The health insurance system in Taiwan is administered by the Bureau of National Health Insurance. This covers the Taiwanese population but foreign residents also benefit from the system, which becomes mandatory the day you hold an Alien Residency Card. The quality of care provided in the main cities is similar to European standards but outside large cities and in rural areas, the quality of care is very poor. They are overcrowded and not properly equipped. There is also a private sector in Taiwan which includes private clinics and hospitals. The quality of care here is good and medics are often trained in the USA and speak English, which is quite rare in the public sector. To get more information see below.

Táiwān jiànkāng bǎoxiǎn (yǐjí yīxiē mài bǎoxiǎn dì dìfāng)
Yǔ qítā rènhéshìqíng yīyàng, táiwān de wàijí rénshì kěyǐ shǐyòng duō jiā bǎoxiǎn gōngsī. Xiàmiàn wǒ liè chūle yīxiē zuì chángjiàn de, yǐbiàn nín qīngsōng jìnxíng zìjǐ de yánjiū.
Zài líkāi qítā guójiā/dìqū shí gòumǎi jiànkāng bǎoxiǎn fēicháng zhòngyào, yīnwèi zuòwéi wàijí rénshì (ér bùshì táiwān gōngmín), nín jiāng wúfǎ xiàng zài zìjǐ de guójiā/dìqū nàyàng huòdé jiànkāng bǎoxiǎn. Zhǔyào chéngshì tígōng de hùlǐ zhìliàng yǔ ōuzhōu biāozhǔn xiāngsì, dàn zài dà chéngshì yǐwài hé nóngcūn dìqū, hùlǐ zhìliàng fēicháng chà. Tāmen rénmǎnwéihuàn, érqiě zhuāngbèi bù qíquán. Táiwān hái yǒu sīyíng bùmén, bāokuò sīrén zhěnsuǒ hé yīyuàn. Zhèlǐ de hùlǐ zhìliàng hěn hǎo, bìngqiě jīngcháng zài měiguó jiēshòu péixùn bìng huì shuō yīngyǔ, zhè zài gōnggòng bùmén xiāngdāng hǎnjiàn.
